A prepaid card looks just like any normal credit or debit card, with a card number, signature strip and chip. However, it does not provide you with a line of credit. You can't borrow money with a Prepaid MasterCard Card – you can only spend the money you have loaded onto it.

The Prepaid MasterCard Card works in a similar way to a Pay As You Go mobile top up card. If you transfer £100 to the card from your Billing Account, you can only spend £100. The advantage is that this card comes with all the convenience of a debit card, which means guilt free shopping. You can spend within your means and you cannot go accidently overdrawn. Using the 1st Prepaid card could help you control your money.

With 1st Stop, not only can you pay for your weekly shop, you can withdraw cash at ATM machines worldwide, shop online or even over the phone.
